Things are looking up..

Admittedly, I have been pretty down for the last month or so. There are so many stressfull things that have to be done for the upcoming move and I have been overwhelmed. I did, however, get some brighter news today that has lifted my spirits greatly and that is that we aren't moving as soon as we had anticipated. This takes a little bit of stress off of me and means that I get to go to the Shuttlebirds tatting convention this year. I am so excited to be with other tatters again.
I had been an isolated tatter for about 17 years before I went to the convention last year. After a weekend of learning fun I walked away a completely improved tatter. I can't wait to see what I learn this year. I remember how confused I was last year with all the tatting terms. It was such a relief to get things straight in my head. I also remember sitting at a table with Terry McGuffin and she showed me the "direct method" of tatting and I picked it up right away. It was very exciting.
I also learned how to do clunies from Mimi Dillman who is such a neat lady and an outstanding teacher. I learned split chains, encapsulation and the SCMR.
If you want to advance your tatting skills or just have great fellowship with other tatters you should consider attending. I highly recommend it!

For those of you who missed out on the "Coffee and Cream" hand dyed tatting thread I have another batch curing right now. I usually only dye enough thread for myself and one or two to sell but I would like to make a large project with this thread so you will also get the benefits. It should be ready tomorrow or Wednesday. I also have another surprise thread that I hope turns out well. I have been doing some crazy experimentation.

I am having fun doing Jane's TIAS project. I won't show any more pictures of it until it is done. But since I can't leave you without a nice tatting picture, here is another one of Jane's patterns that I did for the T.A.T program. It is done in size 20 Rubi thread.
Isn't it a lovely pattern?

I am so glad you got good news and feel better now. It is so bad to be depressed and overwhelmed. I have suffered from this all of my life and I understand. I can't wait to see the new thread and the pattern you tatted of Jane's is very pretty. I love that thread!

I'm glad you're feeling a little less stress. I can't imagine planning for such a major move!
