Words cannot express how proud I am of these girls. They are super smart and catch on so quickly...even with the language barrier.
Today we learned blocking and the Josephine chain.

I always give them a little homework and they usually go above and beyond what I ask of them. See the other motifs in here? Hye Soon free tatted one....I think we may have a potential designer on our hands. She showed Kyoung-Mi the motif and Kyoung-Mi tatted one too!

The girls took me out for a birthday dinner. You can see photos here on Hye Soon's blog. It was soooo much fun! I think they were making fun of the way I was holding the chop sticks and there I was so proud that I could even use chopsticks (:
The food was spicy and delicious. It was a wonderful experience.
Also you can see some tatting on her blog too!

I'm so glad you found tatting friends there! Do the girls realize how special it is to get hands on lessons with you? Can I get one when you come back to the states?
It looks like you are doing a fabulous job teaching your smart students to tat! The lunch photos on her blog look like you all had a lot of fun!
The girls are doing beautiful work! Maybe when you finish teaching in Korea, you could come teach some classes in Illinois! ; )
Now that is too cool! You're a great teacher, no doubt about that. What an excellent legacy you'll be leaving once your year is over.
WoW!!! You are rocking even as a teacher. :-)
They are catching up so fast - that’s what dedication is, I am impressed.
Keep up the good work Sherry – you are on road to enlighten and doing your part in spreading the art of tatting way and beyond. :-):-):-)
I am pitching a fit here that I can't be there! They are doing awesome!
