Reflecting......

I was away from the computer for just one day and got desperately behind on all the tatting blogs I try to keep up with. It took me over an hour to go through the new posts. I think it is so wonderful how fast tatting is, dare I say, "taking over" the Internet.

I thought that it might be interesting to share that when I started the "Tatted Ring of Bloggers" in July of 2007 we started out with about a dozen tatting blogs. and 1 and 1/2 years later we now have 54. ...and these are only the people who have chosen to be a part of the "Ring".
I am currently following approx 100 tatting blogs. It seems that new ones are springing up all the time and I find it increasingly difficult to keep my finger on the pulse of the tatting world.

I wonder where we will be one year from now.....?????

It's exciting to think about!

Hi Sherry isn't it nice to see more tatting in the world. When people see me tatting in public and they say it is a dieing art I say actually it is a growing art and you would not believe the advances in the last 20 years. I then suggest they check it out on the Internet. Yes we are growing.

I agree Sherry. New tatting blogs are being created everyday and people are catching onto the exciting world of blogging. And there you are bringing tatting to Korea and sharing it with your wonderful new friends. I hope they will start a tatting blog so we can see how they progress when you leave Korea. I think it is fantastic that we can share our work and get help from other tatters so quickly now.

Have a great week!

This is very interesting, Sherry. Thank you for sharing it. I do the same as Clyde about trying to educate people. It must be working!

One year from now, our tatting family will keep on growing, and I love it.

I have attract attention when I tat in public, but most are too shy to ask me what I am doing. So I made the first move and asked if they have seen anything like tatting before, and the conversation flow from there. No, I didn't get any of them interested to learn but at least they know a little bit more about tatting.

It will take hours if I were to run through all the tatting blogs that I have in my reading list. Sometimes I log-on to the PC to work on my designs but ended up not doing anything with it because I made the mistake of reading through the blogs first, :-}
