#2 for the 25 motif challenge

"RAIN FOREST" Silk HDT size 20 tatting thread.

The fish eye is a mother of pearl bead.
I have tweaked the pattern a bit here and there, but I think it still needs a little "somp'n somp'n".

Oooh - if the 25 motif challenge counts when using different colorways, will start my second later this year (once I get the quilting bug out of the way).

You are really enjoying your HDT's aren't ya, girl?

...and that is just as it should be. It would be a shame to have all those beautiful threads and not enjoy them, LOL!

That is a really cute fish pattern. I think he needs a dorsal fin. Maybe some picots in graduated sizes, that would give it a wispy look like an angelfish. Another suggestion would be a long chain then switch shuttles to make a point then he can look like a tang.

I love the beads you've chosen for the eyes of your two fish. Are they ones you've found in Korea?

What about incorporating some sparkly little beads in the body to make him look like Rainbow Fish (one of my favorite children's books)?
