Get up, dust off, and get back on the ol' horse

It's no mystery where my migraines are coming from. This is a photo taken today from my front yard. Yep, that is pollution. It's killing me.
I didn't realize how many of you are also migraine sufferers. I have been given some excellent advice through comments on my last post. So if you have headaches too, please go see what others have done to help remedy them by reading the comments in my previous post.

Since the pollution is so hideous I feel the need to counter it with something pretty:

The weirdest thing is happening to me. I am starting to come around to the color pink. If my sisters read this they are going to have a fit. I've always been anti pink. This is a big deal folks! Pink is in for 2009!

Hubby brought home some get well flowers (hence the photo) for me yesterday as I've pretty much been bed ridden all week. I think he is ready for me to get up and do some housework. I haven't even done any tatting. I tried to read some but that wasn't working either soooooo I've been sleeping all day everyday. It's the only relief I can get from sound and light.

I am on a bunch of medications now and they are helping a little bit. At least I am catching up on stuff today. ....and "blast it all" I even did the dishes....I know I broke my resolution already. I just couldn't take it anymore. I thought hubby might break first but noooo. LOL

Glad you're feeling better. I've only had two migraines in my life and they were 23 years apart, one when I was 14 and then when I was 37. The second one I used the lavender therapy Diane and TattyCat suggested and it worked like a charm. Now I keep a lavender eye pillow next to my bed just in case.

Oh, and how you feel about pink is how I feel about orange. Orange is in for 2009!

Just looking at that pollution could give me a migraine! I didn't realize it was so bad in Korea!

The flower is beautiful! I can't say I'm a fan of pink, but I wear certain shades because others tell me I look good in it. I also have two granddaughters who LOVE pink, so I have to do my best to be enthusiastic when they show me something they love!

Dishes already? You're a trooper!

No wonder my little girl has a migraine! That air is terrible. I am so glad that you feel some better. The flowers must have helped. Funny thing, I am into pink now and I have always HATED it. Get well!

WOW is that ever a serious pollution problem. I would not last a week there. Glad to hear you are at least getting a little relief. How nice of you husband to bring you flowers. There are not to many of us left that still do that.

Gosh, that is awful! It looks like fog! I hope you are able to find the relief that you need.
Glad to hear you like pink. I never knew you didn't. You say that pink is in for 2009, but I've got news for you, girly..PINK has ALWAYS been IN!!! ;) Does this mean that we'll be seeing some lovely pink HDT's popping up in your Etsy shop!?! Yippeeeeee! Maybe some PINK shuttles someday??? Okay, I'll try not to get carried away with my pink requests, LOL!

Well, I can only hope there is a movement over there to get going on reducing the pollution. In the meantime, I hope there is a good rain to quickly make conditions better for you.
The flower is exquisite and a lovely color!

Ewwww -- you need a gas mask! Surely you could get one from army surplus...
The flower is very pretty, pink is good for flowers -- and tatting little pink piggies.
I hope your head continues to feel better. (Because doing dishes indicates it might not be feeling as well as you thought.)
Oh, and one other thing -- you left a comment on my blog, I approved it and Blogger ate it. I wanted you to know I didn't ignore it!

I had a migraine once, when I was about 6 years old. My mom took me to the pediatrician, I can still remember her, and she took me aside and talked to me. Turned out my teacher was really ill and I was worried about her. Once the Dr. pulled that out of me, I realized the cause of my headache and it worked itself out. You on the other hand have a serious problem with the quality of the air you're having to breathe.

...cont' Can you possibly get an air cleaner for your furnace and try to stay inside during the worst days? It would be a sound investment if you can get one over there. Take care, and I never liked the color pink either til I turned 50! My fav is still blue, but pink comes in a close second now!

You know this is interesting because I've never considered myself a 'pink' person, but as I was taking a mental inventory of the things in my sewing room, and the fabrics I'm using lately, a huge percentage were pink, and I didn't even realize. It's a sneaky color, that pink.

For me, 2008 is the pink year for me. When it all started when my employer gave out free iPods early last year.
