Starting out slow.....

I went to Seoul today and braved the crowded market. It paid off because I found these really neat beads that made my mind swim with tatting ideas...and here is my first test. We'll see where this experimentation goes...

So far 2009 has proven me to be really naughty. I have procrastinated important projects. I've already eaten waaay too much chocolate. And even though I promised to stop, I have already said a curse word. I have resolved to NOT wash a single dish this year.....Can I do that?
I just don't know....this year started out with a migraine that lasted for 2 and 1/2 days so my enthusiasm has already waned.
Oh me oh my! Shame shame on me! Can I start over?

Your bead is really cool. Very fun design ideas can be done with that! Have fun!
You probably could get away with not washing a dish as long as you eat out a LOT and I mean A LoT! Good luck with that one, LOL! ;)

Love the way this frames the tatting and complements the color. I found some rhinestone belt buckles this week while sorting that I intentionally bought to use with tatting somehow...not as a belt, but something similar to this. Fun idea - thanks for the reminder!

Very pretty, can't wait to see more. Good luck on the dishes. Buy lots of paper plates.

I really like the new beads. I can only imagine what you will do with them. Sorry about the migraine. Hope it didn't come from the chocolate! Here's to a happier New Year for my Sherry.

I certainly sympathize with the headaches. I used to get them when I was in my 20's but they fortunately let up as I got older. You sure are a busy gal, though, in spite of your difficulties and the extraordinary challenges you've faced in the past year! I've been astounded at how much you do, and also am so impressed with the amazing tatting of your students! It's always interesting to read your posts! And the leprechaun adventures are so funny on all the blogs! My best wishes to you and your husband in the New Year!

Resolved NOT to wash a single dish this year, how is that going to work?
Paper plates? take aways?
I am truly curious.

Don't you just love the migraines that last so long? I mean they can send a man to the moon but they cannot help us with our migraines. I think if more scientists got them there would be more progress on a cure.I love your goal about dishes here's hoping it is one you can accomplish.

The square bead and tatting combo is a fantastic idea! I bet those would do well on Etsy.
I hope you are feeling much better now, and that 2oo9 turns out to be a wonderful year for you.

There is still the Chinese New Year to come. For me, I started my crafting a few days early which was actually the start of the Islamic calendar to my surprise.

Hope you are feeling better from your migrane.

The bead looks fantastic with the tatting in the center. Great idea!

Happy New Year!
