Here is one of many tatted butterfly projects that I am currently working on.
I call this one "Gloria". She is tatted in a sturdy black upholstery thread. I am not sure what size but I am guessing size 30. Her antennae are beaded as well as the necklace portion which is nylon coated steel wire with silver plate findings.
I think I may try this again but this time encapsulating wire within the tatted wings.

That's so pretty!!! Looks very elegant.
Fit for a queen! Very pretty! Would you use colored beading wire in the wings?
Very pretty! I can picture this setting off a sweetheart neckline on a little black dress!
Beautiful! Even though I don't wear tatted necklaces, I do admire them. I'd be tempted to duplicate this in wire - if I had time. LOL!
I'm not a butterfly lover but this one is beautiful. I love the clean lines and simple elegant design.
Very intriguing design! Pretty, too. :)
this is lovely!. Very delicate with out over powering the neckline.

This is beautiful, Sherry!
Really cool design, Sherry.
Great lines and clean design. It looks like it was inked, not tatted.
Super-cool! Sort of "Art Nouveau" with its elegant curving lines.
