Winding down?????

Here are my girls! I only have a few more weeks with them and then I head home to America to teach at Shuttlebirds Tatting Convention 2009.
We still don't know what our future holds (where and when we will move, how long we will be at the next place etc)...we were supposed to have received our orders by now so I am growing more and more anxious by the day.
Anyhow, I am trying to make the best of the time I still have here in S. Korea even though I feel like 10 day old moldy soggy bread...(o.k. I don't know where that came from...but that's what I think I feel like today.)

Hye-Soon (The middle girl in photo)is tatting this cross from Mary Konior's Tatting with visual patterns. It is one of my favorite all time patterns. She is tatting it in size 80 "PEAR GLACE" Hand dyed tatting thread. Isn't it GORGEOUS?!?!?!
I am proud of all these girls but Hye-Soon has really impressed me with her dedication and impeccable tatting.

I think my work here is done (o:

I had the opportunity to practice my photography skills whilst on vacation. Here is one of a really cool fishing village that we happened upon during our exploration.

Given the way you described how much better you felt in Vietname and the way the grodies came back I think your description is very appropriate,LOL! I think it has wonderful that you have utilized your time to make some Korean friends and teach them to tat! It's fabulous and who knows what's in store for you to teach some other people about tatting in another part of the world! IT's so cool. I hope wherever you go next has cool clean fresh air for you to breath in and heal! Bless your heart! :) and your throat and your ears and everything attached to the aforementioned body parts in one way or another, LOL! ((hugs)) to you! :)

Hi! Waiting is always troublesome it seems you will never get anywhere and you get so anxious. Hang in there, when you don't know where to go, keep going straight on! At least you won't get lost that way. Hoping things clear up for you guys real soon! OmonSan

In spite of the health troubles that you have gone through while in Korea, be happy to know that you have made new friends and unearth new tatters. Those memories will stay with you forever.

I hope the new place that you'll be going to will be much better.

Thank you so much for the silk HDT that you sent me. I love the color that you have chosen.

Sherry,How nice of you to have passed on the art of tatting to three new friends. It will be a special time that you will always remember. I sure hope that your new location provides you with the opportunity for better health as I know how horrible it is to feel sick all the time.

I've been busy but just realized that even though I've been reading your posts, I forgot to say Welcome Back! I missed your blog entries. I wonder if it is something in your home or the air that is affecting you so poorly? Well, in spite of the impact on your physical health, you've made some great memories and I'm sure the next location will treat your body more kindly. Lovely tatting and tools from your grandmother too!
