Happy Tatting Day!

Tatting Tatting Day! Whoo hoo!
This is a momentous day of the year and wouldn't you know it?...I have nothing to show.
Everything is boxed up and ready for shipping. I have much to do in preparing for Shuttlebirds which is in 16 days. Oh my goodness...I am starting to perspire just thinking of it. I have to mail all my tatting supplies ahead and hope they get to the States before I do. It's going to be tricky.
My Internet connection is going to be intermittent for awhile. I am trying to keep up with everyone else's blogs but it is just impossible right now. I guess I am a little overwhelmed but moving is always difficult.

I guess I can share now that we are a little disappointed that England was not our assignment. We were told that was where we were going all along, but knowing the military, we kept it under wraps and tried not to get our hopes up.
Sure enough, as it always seems to happen, we were completely blindsided.
Now mind you, I am not complaining about Alaska...I am soooooo STOKED. It's just that I was super excited to hang out with all my U.K. friends. I had grand plans to visit Sue Hanson, Jane Eborall, Linda Davies, Pam Myers from Ireland, oh and I was hoping to visit Mary Konior...and several others. The afore mentioned had no idea of my plan..and it's very likely they are breathing a sigh of relief now.

But anyway, a girl can dream can't she? I am confident that I will meet many tatters in Alaska and I very much look forward to that!

Since I don't want to leave without a picture and I have no tatting to share.
I will leave you with a photograph that I took in Okinawa!

England would have been grand, and I don't think any of those ladies are sighing with relief that you won't be visiting. I think they're disappointed.

Somehow, Alaska seems closer to home, though. I think the climate in Alaska will help you get better fast!

Have fun at Shuttlebirds! I think that would be fun to attend!

Happy Tatting Day!

Happy Tatting Day to you, too! That fishy looks really cool!

I think I'd be bummed about not going to England, but that's the a great attitude to have about Alaska! The air should be much cleaner there, too! Oh, You'll be able to breath much easier! I look forward to hearing all about your Alaskan tatting adventures! :)

Aww, sorry you didn't get to go to England. I'd love to go myself. At least Alaska is a bit closer to home. Who knows? Maybe next year, you WILL get to be stationed in England. Good luck in the move and have fun at Shuttlebirds. I'll be watching for all the juicy details and take pics, lots of pics!

Happy Tatting Day! Double chocolate for me because I have finally got Blogger to accept my comments again. I've felt like I have duct tape across my mouth for the past couple of years! Take care of yourself and see you in Spokane.
