Entries are in...

I worked my tuckus off and this is my entry. It is quite a large piece...about 3 feet wide. In retrospect it looks a bit bare to me. Due to lack of time I had to cut some elements out. When the State Fair is over I will finish this by adding more animals and a garden and maybe a few puffy clouds here and there. This will hang in Picadilly's room. It is the very first thing I have made for her so far. I hope she likes it!

I entered several other items but didn't have time to photograph them. As I turned in my tatted pieces a crowd of ladies gathered to oohh and ahhh. Some of them had never seen tatting in "real" life before. Between the tatting and my ever blossoming belly, we were quite the spectacle.
I will know if I have won any ribbons by this weekend. It is all so exciting!

Here is my most recent belly picture. It is getting bigger everyday and I can almost hear my skin stretching...eeww!

Wow! Both for the tatting, and the belly :)
It's good to see you're looking so healthy!
I'm sure you'll inspire a lot of new interest in tatting at the fair, and get some well deserved blue ribbons to take home, too.

Oh, how precious! The hanging for Picadilly and your belly picture. My first glimpse of the long awaited baby. I know you have had a very difficult time and that you are anxious for Picadilly to make her appearance - outside of your belly! I know she will be perfect and lovely as you are. Love you, Lala

I think the picture looks good as it is. There is definitely such a thing as too much "stuff" in a tatted picture. Picadilly will love it.

How are you feeling these days?

It must be amazing to see this fabulous barn scene in person! I LOVE how you have put it all together. You somehow came up with this concept and this ambitious project in spite of feeling very much under par.

This definitely will cause a 'stir' at the fair, and will make many aware of a new 'era' in tatted lace. I fully expect a big ribbon on it!

It's also wonderful to see how Picadilly is growing!

Beautiful Belly and Wow on the project. Perhaps you could add some of Martha's new block animals. Just thinking out loud.

I've been considering doing a scene for some time now. Haven't quite decided on What yet…Perhaps based on a poem.."Let me live in a house, by the side of the road, and be a friend to man." (my Mom's favorite poems were this one and one about Daffodils"

I'm glad you are doing better and I pray for you and Picadilly every morning and evening…

love you, Grams

The farm picture is just perfect -- for the fair and for Picadilly! You'll have to let her have the ribbon as well (it's bound to be a big fancy one!).
I'll be interested to see what else you entered -- I hope you're entering a rendition of your Royal Diadem -- that's knock-your-eyes-out tatting!
I think your baby photo is charming -- getting a nice round belly is a GOOD thing!

It's so good to "hear" you sounding better! - a few more weeks and your babe will be able to see the picture herself, that is exciting!

So glad to see you and the wee 'one though.

So pleased for you and your growing family! Your tatting is great and deserves a ribbon. Don't overdo it and end up back on bed rest.
