Ahem...What day is it again?

One of the topics I repeat in this blog over and over again is that of cloning. I don't know how many times I've said, "Oh how I wish I could clone myself". There is just not enough time in the day to do all the things I want to do and it just gets worse the older I get. My grandfather said to me the other day that the last twenty years of his life have been a blur. But when we are children time just drags on. "Are we there yet?", "I'm bored", "When is it going to be my birthday again?".
I woke up this morning and was incredulous that it is Thursday already?!? Where has my week gone...I know I have been busy but this is ridiculous. It is 2011 folks...HELLOOOO! 2011 Ya'll! This summer is my 20 year high school reunion. I swear, the 90's don't seem all that long ago to me, and now a lot of those 90's babies are out on the roads driving already! Mercy to Heavens!
I am truly trying to enjoy every moment I have with Miss P because before you know it she is going to be changing MY diapers and wiping my snotty nose!
Anyhow, I am a bit terrified that I will never accomplish my list of life goals. Working on all those goals could be the thing that ends up killing me or the thing that keeps me going and going and going. Who knows?
My other grandpa said he wants to live until he is 130 and I am thinking to myself, "Why would you want to do that? In the state the world is in today and with your quality of life quickly diminishing?" But I think I am starting to see his point.

Anyway, on to tatting stuff. I have been spending the last four weeks or so winding skeins (as I am able since it really inflames my carpel tunnel) and getting ready to dye a MOTHERLOAD of hand dyed thread so you should see the shop filling up again. I have also been busy with my pottery life and something has re-ignited my passion for camera collecting and film photography. Needless to say all those things pale in comparison to playing with the most fantastic little gal there ever was.
Speaking of, Miss P is 8 months old already people! She has been crawling for 6 weeks now and is very close to walking. Dad gummit!
She is a joy and my love continues to grow for her which doesn't seem possible since my heart is near exploding already.
Well, I must get on to the billions of things I want to do but I will leave you with a few pictures of my growing gal!

STAY TUNED!

You'll stay 'younger' because of Miss P (possibly the happiest child on the planet!).

By the time of my MIL's 20th HS reunion in 1961, she had 3 sons: The oldest was 18, and had graduated from high school the year before (and was dating his future wife - me -, who had just graduated), a son who was 9 and finished 4th grade, and - get this - a new baby boy of 4 months! So she felt quite 'old' at 37, and it's understandable that she was already 'tired out'! You at least have a 'fresh start' with your little one, and you certainly have a youthful outlook! (My MIL is 87 now and unfortunately has dimentia, so the past very much IS a blur to her.) I'm now 67, and I've kept a diary for the past 25 years (starting around 1985). It's now my 50th HS reunion, and I'm in total denial. (I also kept a diary my last two years of HS. When I read those diaries, I hardly recognize myself!) At least I have a general idea of the progression of my tatting in the 1990s, but there are missing gaps. I'm glad I have those diaries to 'look back' on. (So many things I had totally forgotten about.) Otherwise I'd have no idea where all those years went!

I can so relate! My 39th birthday is in 2 days and it seems like it was just my 29th, or my 19th birthday! My oldest is 7 and it seems like she should still be crawling around. (but I do have to say, I'll be glad to be done with the diapers since I've been doing them for 8 years now through the 4 kiddos)

So good to see you here today. Miss P pictures are darling. My oldest son had his 20 year class reunion last year and those years went very, very fast for. I like the way you put thoughts into words. Looks like writting is another of your many talents. Keep on being you, but don't wear yourself out. Karen in OR

Your little girl is getting more beautiful with each month. And so photogenic!
I perfectly understand with time sneaking away from you. I had the same feeling just yesterday, my husband thinks I'm nutty. ^_^

I do agree that setting goals and working hard to achieve them is important; you do have to enjoy the ride to the finish!! (a little mommie voice in that I`m afraid)

I still can not believe I have a 16 year old son!! It seem not that long ago I was helping him learn to ride a bike and now he is learning to drive my car!!!

Miss P is going to be a heart breaker!!

Your heart will not burst. It will keep expanding, growing just like your love for your beautiful Miss P. And one day you will look back on all your blessings with joy and gratitude. Enjoy every moment.

I believe you mentioned breast feeding some time back - I know it may not be the biggest topic on the list, but I have to say that through the years, I remember that the time to stop and feed the little ones was a time to relax and enjoy their beauty, just baby and me, and the most precious moments I can recall of any time in my life. No matter how fleeting those moments, they comfort me still, even though the three of them are in their 30's now and still bringing me joy!! ~Tatikan/Sher
