I wanted to share this bit of providence. I was able to purchase two of these vintage wooden DMC display cases from an old variety store that went out of business. This same store is where I purchased my first tatting shuttle at a very young age. So these boxes will be great reminders and a great addition to my tatting collection. I think they will house my hand dyed tatting thread in the near future.
As promised, I am sharing a few goofy wallpaper pics from my real estate search. As I mentioned before, the irony is that our farmhouse is top to bottom decorated in 80's style wallpaper. I have a LOT of work ahead of me.
I know this is a totally normal picture. But I had to share it because this is a pretty amazing story. This picture is from a home that was our second choice to purchase. Do you notice the orange spoon rest on the oven there? I made and sold that 10 years ago. No, I don't know the person who I sold it to as I sold hundreds of pieces of pottery in that area at the time. Anyhow, I almost dropped dead when I saw it! What are the chances and how cool is that?!?!?
Happy Tatting until next time friends!

And it is obvious that the person who bought your pottery has the best taste!
The farm sounds lovely. Are you planning on growing your own food?
I'm sure you'll miss your internet, since you're so used to having it. But if it means weekly trips to the library for Picadilly, I guess it's not all bad.
You'll have to show us before and after pics of the house.
Best of luck on the big move!
While I am no fan of wallpaper, and never use it, I don't actually detest the floral paper in the entry way...it has a certain 'country' charm. The tassel on the door is perhaps a bit much!
Congratulations! farm life will be fabulous for you and your family. Wishing you safe travels and much happiness in your new home.
Good luck with the big move.
