This was tatted with size 20 silk HDT (hand dyed tatting thread)"Harvest Moon" and "Rainforest" and cotton HDT "Dark Chocolate". I used the "dimpled yorkie" technique for the leaves. This tree was tatted using branching encapsulation; this is the same tatting technique that I will be teaching at Shuttlebirds in April of 2009.This is a tatted peach tree. I suppose it could have been apples or pears or lemons...but I wanted peaches. Remember the lovely glass lockets that my dear friend Karen sent me? I think I found a good use for them.
