Remember this hat with tatting on it?

I made this hat for my sister quite awhile back. I used a big tatsy shuttle to tat the motif with yarn.
She is visiting this week and I finally got the chance to give it to her. She loves it! Or at least she is being nice enough to pretend she loves it for my sake.
She showed some interest in learning tatting, so I gave her a shuttle and showed her the basics. She made a ring. I told her to just keep practicing but she got too frustrated and gave up. She doesn't seem to have interest in trying it again though, even though I keep offering.
We are having fun doing sisterly stuff together, so there may not be quite as many posts as usual!
