It's December already????

Ushering in the new month with Ruth Perry's Celtic Snowflake:
Tatted in hand dyed tatting silk "Marina" size 20.

I cannot believe how fast this year has gone by! Before you know it I'll be moving again. I heard that the stress of moving is on the same level as going through a divorce or someone close to you dyeing. At first I thought, "Man! How can that be true?" But after moving 48 times and getting geared up for number 49 I realize that it is true. Moving is a bereavement of everything familiar; a loss of stability, routine, friends, family, etc. And for me it's always just as I start to adjust to a new place that I get uprooted again.
I am just finding a rhythm here in Korea; it has been 8 months and we have only four more to go. We don't know what our future holds; we have no clue where we will be living 6 months from now and we won't find out at least until February.
One would think that moving gets easier when you do it so often, but that isn't true, each move gets more and more difficult. But as always I will try my best to keep my chin up!

8 months already? Didn't think that time would fly by so fast. Wherever you are going to be next, I hope that you'll be able to settle in smoothly compared to your earlier experience in Korea.

You always manage to do so many good things, wherever you are. Remember that your Internet friends will always be just an electron away!

So you wont necessarily be going home!! Wow even more excitement...you just have to look at it that way, we will all be there with you in spirit.

I agree with you. Moving is a bereavement. I've been a gypsy my whole life, never living anywhere more than a year (at the most)until now. I hope that where ever you land, you'll not have the difficulties you've had with this move. Here's hoping you'll be back Stateside soon! Permanently. *crosses fingers*

What a beautiful snowflake! I sure wish we had some of the real ones flying around here. Sunny and 60 degrees isn't my idea of a central Oregon December :)

I know how hard moving can be. **hugs** The sacrifice you and your husband are making now will benefit you greatly in the future (this comes from an retired government family). I always tried to learn about the new duty station before we arrived and find something to get excited about. Even fake excitement makes you feel better! LOL

I love that snowflake. I have also moved many many times in my life, so I can completely relate. Although none of my moves have been as drastic as like moving to korea. What causes you to move so much? A job?

The snowflake is lovely in your Marina. You did a good job as usual. I know it is going to be hard to move, even though you were so sick and miserable for months. Just remember that home is where your hubby is and that all of us travel with you. We love you very much!

Moving, even if it's across the street, is a major upheaval. One of my early moves after college was from one side of the apartment complex to the other & it still blew me away.

At least you still have your tatting & your online friends.
