Tatted Peach Tree

Here is some tatting eye candy for you to enjoy!
This was tatted with size 20 silk HDT (hand dyed tatting thread)"Harvest Moon" and "Rainforest" and cotton HDT "Dark Chocolate". I used the "dimpled yorkie" technique for the leaves. This tree was tatted using branching encapsulation; this is the same tatting technique that I will be teaching at Shuttlebirds in April of 2009.
This is a tatted peach tree. I suppose it could have been apples or pears or lemons...but I wanted peaches. Remember the lovely glass lockets that my dear friend Karen sent me? I think I found a good use for them.

Now THAT is beyond awesome. I can't stop looking at it! When Shuttlebirds is all done, I hope you will post the lessons or write a book on the technique for those of us who won't be able to be there. I am very intrigued by this technique, even more so now that I've seen what you've done with it. Too cool.

Wow. Just plain wow. Now I've gotta make plans to beg, borrow, or steal the time and funding to get to Spokane! I've gotta learn this!

I drool, hon. Just drool. I think I've seen lockets like that at a bead shop. I couldn't think of a use for them then..but now that you've shown me the way....

Your peach tree in the locket is so precious! All the people who will get to take your class are very lucky!

Your little tatted Peach Tree is awesome, so small and delicate. I wish I could attend the workshop you are giving. I was wondering if you knew where your friend Karen got the little locket? I'd like to make a tatted heart and put in one to give to my daughter. I have seen a larger version of this type of locket, it was 3x5 though.
