It's been a rough week

We received some pretty bad news this week. The military has taken Alaska off the table for us and we are back in the position of not knowing what our future holds or where we will live next. We are both super bummed out. My DH is stuck in Korea for an undetermined amount of time. And to top it off someone t-boned me in my vehicle last night so now I am not only homeless but I am car-less too with a severe case of whip lash!
My fighting spirit has been crushed. After being sick for so long in Korea and having the stress of constantly "not knowing" what our future holds, then having hope for the future dangled in front of me and taken away again, it's just the last straw. Many other things have gone to rubbish as well....when it rains it pours!
My health is waning again and I am just broken hearted.
It will most likely be awhile before I feel up to blogging.
Please forgive my absence.

In my experience (and I've had a few knocks too) there's only one thing to do. Look for the funny side of life. Look at anything you can to laugh at. During my 'four bad years' I found that making people laugh at MY predicaments and ME was a great thing. Laugh and the world laughs with you. Hard, very hard but it worked for me!!! I don't pray or have any gods to turn to - just a belief in the fact that you alone can turn things round. Whatever you do remember that tat land will be with you and I'll be up front blowing the bugle for you and your life to turn round. Please delete this comment if you like. I do tend to ramble but I blame my age!!

Hi Sherry, Sorry things have taken a turn for the toilet but hang in there. I know you are tough and that things will workout. It is just sometimes getting to our destination the journey sucks but it helps if you share it with friends.

So sorry to hear about your streak of bad luck. Perhaps it will help to remember that it is always "darkest just before the dawn". This too will pass. You are so talented and inspiring, I'm sure there will be spectacular things ahead for you, even better than you anticipated.

Hang in there, little one. Everything will be all right. Being without roots gives one no foundation to fall back on when everything goes sideways. Perhaps the week of meditation will bring comfort, health, and insight.

Hello Sherry,
what a tough week. that can't be easy to find you are hanging out in the breeze so to speak as to where you will end up living. and the car accident as well. best thing to do is to sit down with a cup of tea, some chocolate, some sunny yellow thread on your shuttle and tat for the fun of it.
Best wishes and prayers are coming your way.

What a crappy mess, Sherry.
You gotta pluck up and stay strong. It's so much to go wrong, one after another. Keep your head up and your heart, and you, will become stronger. Count your blessings at least as often as the wretched disasters.
Thinking of you,

I'm really sorry this is all happening at once. Keep in mind that it's always darkest before the dawn and it could just be that you will get to go someplace even better! Rest up. Take care of yourself. It'll get better!

Oh Sweetie...hangeth thou in there...it is so hard, the not knowing. And then a car wreck...good grief. Don't withdraw, even if you don't feel like blogging, be sure to read your messages. there are a BUNCH of us that love and care for you.
There is a reason for everything, just lift up your chin and push on...you've done it before, I know you can do it again. Because, we, as survivors do that over and over...praying for you...and sending you warm Grandma hugs and love. Bev

Awwwwwwwwwwh
I'm so sorry to hear of your woes.
Sometimes it's worse when you have your sights set on the prize and then you have your feet knocked out from under you.
But I know from your blog, you are made of strong stuff. Cry get mad, kick and scream and then get back on your horse and ride again.
Praying for you,
Connie

Shall I dance ;) how about monkey dance ;))) I wish I could just reach out to you... Take care sweets, will pray for you and I hope things sort out fast. I don’t like missing your posts and just can’t see you gloomy and unenthusiastic - that’s so not like you.

Oh honey, i'm so sorry! You will be in my prayers. Keep your chin up ok! I beleive that when God doesn't allow something to happen, it's often because he has a better plan anyway.

"This too shall pass", you know - if you have hit rock bottom, there's only one way to go, and that's up!
I'm so sorry to read about this, I know how much you were looking forward to your move.
When things are bad,I find it helpful to slow down and to take it all just one day at a time.

What a bad week! I'm sorry everything seems to being going badly. My hubby was stationed in Korea before we were married and knows all about how "lovely" it is! (He got out right from Korea). I pray that things look up soon for you.

Well, rats, mice and chicken feet, Sherry! No wonder you're feeling down. To top it off, I've been trying to leave a comment for a week, and I couldn't get it to work -- just gave a little blank screen (although I do think there was a little googler sticking out its tongue at me). I do hope things get better for you!

So sorry to be told of all the bad things happening for you right now and all I am able to do is sending you all my moral support.
I am sure things will turn into the best for you, so just be a little patient. Take good care of yourself, lots of hugs for you.
