Good news and LAME news!

The good news is that my hubby flies home tomorrow and I get to spend two whole days with him. The lame news is that after the weekend he goes off for another two months of training. We had all kinds of plans to visit family and go camping and spend some time together before he was to go off. But since he was held more than a month past his commitment date in Korea we will not get the opportunity to do that any time soon. Harrumph!

Here is another example of what I have been playing around with. Now mind you, I am STILL living out of a suitcase which means I am very limited on tatting supplies...so yes I know my beads and threads don't match....it is just all I have to work with at the moment.

I am not positive but I think this is my great great grandfather. I need to check with my grand dad for confirmation.

I am SOOOO excited for DH to come home. We have been apart for two months and I really really miss him!

I'm kind a lost...maybe you've mentioned your husband job on your previous post...but I can't find it. Is he an army?
It's great to know that you'll see you DH soon...although just for a while. Have fun and enjoy your time ^_^

How exciting that your DH gets to come home. Major bummer on the time limit thingy! Yucky!

That photo of your great grandfather looks timeless! It could totally be in the 1970's with that look on his face and the beard and that shirt... it looks like an artsy photo from the 70's! It's kinda cool!

Guess we wont be hearing from you for a couple of days! Enjoy your time together and think positive.

When I first looked at the picture, I thought, "Oh, Sherry's found a way to attach tatting to a cookie cutter. I wonder if it will be used as an ornament?" After my third swig of coffee, I realized those were beads on the outside! That'll teach me to get on the computer before my eyes are fully functional!

I see nothing wrong with the colors... just look at the combinations in Mother Nature!

The beaded flower is great! As for matching thread colors -- the brighter the better!
Your great-grandpa has a beard just like my brother. :)

Dear friend, me alegro que tu DH retorne por fin a tu hogar. Lastima que sera por poco tiempo, ya llegara el momento en que lo tendras contigo por mucho tiempo. I love the old photos!!!

Yeah! **happy dance** Make the most of those two days, everyone else can just wait! Love the photos of the tatting and the relative. I thought it was from the 1970's also! And we think we invent new styles!
