Spreading the love!....an update on this weeks MONDO Giveaway....and a SPECIAL REQUEST

I have been meaning to ask but I keep forgetting....so here goes:
I need odd tatting bits (preferably with finished ends) in thread sizes 50 or smaller (size 100 would be perfect). I would like to use these bits in my upcoming pottery projects. The bits do not have to be perfect tatted pieces...just on the dainty side, and they can be anything from motifs to doilies.
Is anyone out there willing to part with such treasures for a good cause? Your generousity will be rewarded.

This is a picture of my studio pre-renovation. Yes it is a single car garage area...but you won't believe it when I show you the after picture next week! Whoo hoo!

Let me start out by saying that I have NO relationship with Ott Lite, I don't get paid, I don't get free product....I just personally love their lamps. Anyhow, a store called TUESDAY MORNING online has a fantastic deal on a portable ottlite with a magnifying glass. It is absolutely perfect and can be found here.
I got one for myself and it is so awesome I thought I would share the love!

....sooooo ...anyways....Uh nice weather we are having huh? We got 10 inches of snow on our mountain the other day but it has mostly melted by today. Ah...I love this time of year.

....ok....ok....I'll quit stalling.

So uh the update on the giveaway is that I won't be able to announce the winners until Tuesday Oct 13. (ducking behind computer monitor trying to avoid rotten tomato throwing)...but the good news is that means there are a couple extra days for entries.

I will not have access to a computer this weekend so it will all have to be pushed back a bit. I am sure you lovely people will understand.

Can we throw snowballs instead? I'm so jealous about the snow I can feel its chilly goodness from here.

No rotton tomatoes, just a little feeling of let down :( Just kidding! Hope you have a great weekend!

Of course we understand. Thank you for the heads up on the OTT light. Do enjoy yourself this weekend! Can't wait to see your newly renovated studio.

oooh I love my Ott light too. I have a floor model, really makes a difference!

Ahhhhh you are going to make a lacy print from bits and pieces in your ceramics, eh? Bekah did a series of coupe-shaped decorative plats (about salad plate size) last semester. I thought they were beautiful. I can just see that effect on shuttles (hint hint) Bekah was quite fascinated by your ceramic shuttles that I have. I'll look about and see if I have anything to donate to the cause of an artist, since I seem to be a patron of the arts.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend in the snow.
Your studio is coming right along ~ great!

love, Bev

I'll send you a few. They are mostly sewing thread test tats and simple motifs, but they are finished. :)
I'll send them in the mail on Monday, I'm too tired from setting up Xmas shop for my store, to get out of bed.

I loved the shuttles you did before with the tatting pressed into them, so I'm looking forward to seeing the new ones.

I saw a link about the butterfly project at the Houston Holoccaust Muueum, and thought it would be lovely to see some butterflys made from your book find their way there. http://www.hmh.org/minisite/butterfly/index.html

Oh, gosh, I just goofed on the "arm" of a motif...it is pretty and it is small, but probably not small enough because it is size 20, but it's still pretty! I sure can send you a bunch of mistakes, LOL!

I have a few too. Let us know where to send them! Fox : )

I was out of town this weekend (actually -- I was in Boise!), but will hunt through my stash of what-am-I-going-to-do-with-this stuff after my niece's soccer game tonight. I think I have some things you could use.
