A year and a half later....

I cannot believe it has been one year and 8 months since I have made a tatting shuttle. I should change my name to "LadyNOShuttleMaker".
I certainly have not made the progress I would have liked, but I suppose a little is better than nothing.
Here are the fruits of my unceremonious re-beginnings:

It isn't much and if you have seen my little construction video at the bottom of this blog then you know I will lose more than half of these. But as always I am bound and determined even if I am temporarily handicapped.

Remember a few posts back I put out the call for some tatting bits and pieces?
Well, many friends came through and look at this stash!!! AWESOME!!! I have already put them to good use.
...and as a side note..and this is odd. All these tatting pieces showed up in my mail box the exact same day..and that day just happened to be my Birthday! WEIRD HUH???
I didn't mention anything this year..didn't seem necessary in the light of everything else going on. The coincidental(?) arrival sure made a crummy day a whole lot better.
Thank you to my generous friends and you know who you are!

I am going to be "OUT" of the office for a few days....just FYI in case anyone is keeping track.

Happy Tatting Weekend!

is that the fushia flower I sent that was used on that top shuttle? :-) I can't wait to see the finished products!

I'm just itching to get my finger on some of these new shuttles... cobalt blue, sage green, neon pink... what wonders will you produce?

ooooh me too, me too Lace on ceramic turns out so lovely ~ but I know the disappointment when a piece comes out of the kiln ~cracked. When I helped (eons ago now) with the Judy Chicago Dinner Plate show..so many good tries, so many repeats! It is a great deal of work to do what you do; and, I appreciate that fact!

Happy Belated B-Day! And I too am waiting for your shuttles! I love your work and am sorry about your hand problems. Lots of ice! We are keeping you and your hubby in our prayers! Hey I was one of Yarnplayers lucky winners! you have to check out what she gave us- too cool.

Back again-sorry I have had this problem for along time and can only stand to tat in short bursts. But I do see a Chiropractor and have a Massage Therapist and there are stretches that help.Shoulder shruggs, putting your hand flat on the table, fingers spread and bend wrist to stretch across the palm. Stretching you neck by putting your chin on you cheast. Ice works too.
