Loving Gifts for Piccadilly

Since I was on bed rest during my pregnancy for 3 months I had mail from my Post Office box forwarded to my home. Nothing was ever forwarded so I just assumed that I had no mail so I never checked it ....that is until today.
I opened my mail box and it was jam packed full of packages and things. At first I was mad because it was all supposed to be forwarded; this meant someone was not doing there job. But the irritation did not last long as I looked to see who some of the packages were from and I recognized many tatting friend's names. Some of the packages were even addressed to "Piccadilly".
My heart was warmed even before I opened a single one. I have no idea how long these were sitting in my PO box. I kept thinking, "What must the senders be thinking of me for not acknowledging their kindness?"
Hopefully we can all have a good laugh over it. All is well that ends well right?
Firstly, I would like to share a new picture of sweet little Piccadilly. She is five weeks old in this photo. She is growing so fast! I'll have her tatting before you know it!

This is what I found in my PO box today. Three cheers for our Canadian tatters...because three of these packages are from Canada! What an hospitable nature our neighbors to the North have.

These sweet socks with tatting are from "Fox" of Tat-ology. ...and of course I love ALL the tatting that Fox included in this set.

Dear Marty from Tat's all she wrote sent a gorgeous blanket...and check out the beautiful tatting on the onesie. Piccadilly is such a lucky little lass!

Look at all that VicTats sent. Wow, I don't even know where to start! I think my favorite are the little tatted shoes....so darn cute! She even included some ointment for my wrists. How thoughtful to remember my carpel tunnel. I will definitely be trying some.

Kelly from Tatfully Yours, who can use her "mommy voice" with me anytime, included the cutest poem with this heirloom bonnet. Hopefully you can click to enlarge the photo and read it.

These are from my sweet friend Karen of "Karen's Halo" which is an angelic silk colorway that is currently sold out.

...and these are from LaceRn who is Diane's best friend. She also gave me a bunch of burp rags...but I put those to use right away so they are not pictured.

Thank you so much dear friends for your generosity!

I can't wait for Piccadilly to be big enough to start wearing all these lovely gifts. As for me, I am still recovering from my birthing experience. I LOVE being a mom and I am so blessed to have such a sweet natured little person. I am tatting again....although it is just a little bit here and a little bit there. I hope to share that with you soon. I am so tired these days that I can't even speak anymore. I try to talk and I can't find the right words to express myself....this too shall pass.
I am even trying to catch up on some of the wonderful tatting blogs out there but I just cannot keep up. There are so many awesome things happening in the tatting world. It is so fantastic.

Well....I hope this post today makes some kind of sense. I am afraid that after I post it...I will come back and find tons of mistakes...yes that is how sleep deprived I am!

Hugs to you all today!

what a gorgeous little girl, so bright and sunny looking.
get as much rest as you can Sherry, nap when Picadilly naps and don't worry about the dust bunnies, they can stay hidden under the couch until Picadilly is crawling. nice to feed your creative soul with tatting when you are able. take care and have a great time with your little girl.

What a sweet and bright-eyed little girl! She will look so cute in all those tatted garments. She's lucky to have so many "aunties" in the tatting world.

I'd almost forgotten those days of being so tired I couldn't speak a complete sentence. It's all worth it though, well worth it!

You make me want to go visit my own 6 months old granddaughter and make something sweet for her! Will see her soon though. Glad Piccadilly is doing so well and know that you will be close behind. Sleep will return soon!

SO GOOD to see another update! And what a CUTIE Piccadilly is! Love the photos you are taking of her!

Wonderful and sweet gifts! Can't imagine what happened at the post office!!

As for your posting, you're more coherent than I am! I still find it a big deal to add just two photos. I'm finding blogging to be not as 'easy' as I would like. You're doing great!

However, I sure hope you can find a way to get some rest. Glad you're picking up the shuttle now and then and taking just a little time out for yourself.
