Blingtastic Hook Pens and more Vacay pics

While walking around Stratford with Jane she learned quickly that I was drawn to crooked buildings. So she took me to Mason's Court....probably the most crooked building in which people still live, that I have ever seen. It's great isn't it?
Well, it just so happened that while we were admiring this building, a friend of Jane's came out of Mason's Court. We chatted it up and that led to an invitation to see the inner court garden. Even Jane had never seen it before. It pays to have friends in high places!
This is me trying to find the Ministry of Magic. *Wink*
I have been working on these new totally blinged out hook pens. They are super fun. They will be in my Etsy shop as soon as I re-open it. It is taking me longer than I anticipated to re-open the shop because as many of you may know, on Jan 28th USPS shipping prices doubled, and almost tripled in some instances. What used to cost $5.50 to ship one of my books overseas now cost nearly $13. I'm afraid I might be run out of business. Anyhow, it's going to take some work before I can re-open my shops. Shuttlebirds is just around the corner so I am going to be really busy the next few weeks, dyeing threads, making shuttles, tatting and so forth. I am really looking forward to this year!

The pens are even better in real life. Sherry kindly gave me one and it zings. Thank you, Sherry. Also thanks for visiting me and giving me the opportunity to look in the garden of the crooked house too. In 69 years that's the first time I've ever been in that garden!!!! Cheers to Sam, Sam the ferry man who wangled us in there!!!

Wonderful photos and trip! How exciting to meet Jane and have a personal tour. Thanks for these posts!

That's so frustrating about the postal rates.

I took a photo of that very same building! Those warbly walls...don't know how it's still standing.

My husband is in law enforcement so when I got back home I told him that was the police station. ;-)

Hi Sherry,
I hope the "and so forth" means a supply of pens for Shuttlebirds. One can never have enough tat toys. Can't believe it is only 2 months away.

I am glad you like our crooked buildings, I used to live in a cottage, There was not one wall that was straight, even from floor to ceiling was not flat, my bedroom went down to the dressing table and up to the bed. It was a nightmare trying to get the furniture straight in the end I just put it and hoped it looked ok. The older the building the more crooked it is.
There is a song about the crooked house that was built by the crooked man.
Your pens look fantastic
