I won Best in Show for my Original 5 shuttle tatted Doily. Yay! I cried when we finally found the piece. I was so overwhelmed that someone actually recognized the kind of work that went into it. Come to find out that one of the judges is a tatter, so she apparently knew what she was looking at. These are my very first ribbons and I am so thrilled.
I entered two other tatting pieces that each took a second place ribbon. My tatted purse was in a "Needlecrafts - Anything" category so it was up against many types of items. And my "Reflection of a Butterfly" was in an "Original Work" category so it was up against all sorts of beautiful items including quilts.
I am ever so happy!
