Tatted Button Covers

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I've been working on these patterns for awhile. I think they are quite lovely and fun to tat. I can envision a solid color dress or long coat with these adorning the front. I hope to inlude these in my upcoming pattern book.

Ok, I've lurked and lurked and lurked but now I must speak up. Those buttons are absolutely gorgeous!!!! I wish I lived near you so I could take lessons! My great-grandmother tatted and although I never met her I do have a few of her doilies and a lace-edged hankie. I also happen to have alot of that teeny, tiny thread you use. How hard is it for a knitter and crocheter to learn to tat? I must make those buttons!!!

Sherry, I love the buttons! There's another "why didn't I think of that?" to add to my list! I can't wait for the book!

Rebecca,
I should think tatting would come very easy to you. You must give it a try!

Ah Sherri....once again i get caught up working and don't have time to peek at your blog- what you have accomplished in such a short time. So lovely, the tension on the buttons is superb!Love the hankies too :-) I have two hankies i tatted edgings for myself years ago and used to carry them religiously, but they're packed away at the moment.
You keep up like this and you'll have a book ready by the next Shuttlebirds workshop!
Take care!
