The most THANKFUL girl in the world?

I am officially moved back into my house. Our belongings will not arrive until July 10th so I am basically camping in the house with nothing but me, the walls, and a lot of repairs and renovations to complete.

I have been working really hard folks. I have three rooms painted so far and a chunk of floor repaired in one room while installing bamboo flooring in another.
This flooring installation is NOT a one person job...but I am s l o w l y managing it.

I have glue on my hands...which if I peel off...takes the skin with it. I have stitches in my face, blood blisters, bruises, cuts, scrapes and scratches. I am sleeping on the floor which is really NOT helping my recent neck injury AT ALL. I am eating off paper plates and trying to survive the sweltering heat that has rolled in....and I am the happiest most thankful girl in this entire State.

There is truly no place like home. Everyday I give thanks for the opportunity to be back in this beautiful part of the world. I never want to leave again.

I think about my pottery everyday! My studio should be up and running in August and I just cannot wait! I am SOOOOO excited to get back to work.
Don't worry though....tatting should not suffer as I plan to continue incorporating tatting into my pottery. ...And boy do I have tons of ideas!

I should be reunited with hubby in a couple of weeks, at least for a few days, which will be wonderful since I could really use his help.

I am still detoxifying from Korea...my skin has cleared up, I am having somewhat regular sleep cycles and I am no longer hacking up a lung everyday!

My precious dog is loving every minute of it too! She is especially excited that I am sleeping on the floor which means she gets to sleep with (more like on) me...which is a rare treat.

...AND I get to bring my three legged kitty "Raku" home this weekend. My dog and my cat are the best of friends and I know they have been missing each other. So hopefully the whole family will be reunited in short order.

Here she is...silly monkey!

...and now she is showing off for the camera....

Well, I must get back to work. I am "borrowing" Internet from neighbors until mine gets installed....so my service is very intermittent, but I am trying to keep up as best as I can.

Happy Day!

Yay! I am so happy for you! Things are bound to improve from here. Being rooted really is the most important component of balance and happiness. Your 'nesting' will finish reconnecting you with home and your health is certain to benefit. A big hug to you!

Aww, what a cute doggie! Glad you're home, but sorry the house has been beating you up. Dare I ask how you got stitches in your face? Poor girl!

It all sounds idyllic to me! Congratulations on being back home.

Didn't we all tell you things could only get better.

I'm glad things are returning to normal for you. Sometimes the contrast is what makes us more appreciative than we ever thought we'd be.

I'm just happy that you are our happy, boisterous gal again. Good for you...As much as you are enjoying home; when the bed is ready...it will be heaven. Think of you so often during my days..it'd be fun if we could just all drop by and pick up a paint brush or a hammer and tat's it!
Hugs, Bev

The way you bounce back and keep on going, and looking for the bright side amazes me. Even when you're down your attitude comes through your writing as forward-looking and striving for the upbeat. It reminds me of that poster: When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on! You not only tie the knot (and another and another) you create beauty from it until you can climb the rope. Good on ya, Sherry!

"there's no place like home, there's no place like home" that's my motto, and it sounds like it's yours too, I'm happy for you that your home. Wow I can't believe everything you've gotten done. Where are you finding the energy for all of this? I'm anxious to see what you get to creating in your pottery studio, August isn't that far away.
