Has anyone noticed that I have posted nearly everyday for the last two weeks? Well, I wanted my 500th post to land on my Blogaversary so I had to play a little catch up! So here we are...this is a very exciting milestone for me!
Here are some fun facts: I post on average every 2.19 days. As of this post I have had over 85,000 unique visitors from 114 countries; that is an average of 78 visits a day....(remembering my first few months of blogging I probably had about 5 visitors a day!)
When I started this blog there were around a dozen active tatting blogs and as of today I am aware of 196...now that is proof that tatting is a thriving art form!
I have 8 tutorials and 8 free patterns on my side bar. I have two tatting videos on YouTube and a slide show of my shuttle production at the bottom of this blog. So far I have self-published 3 tatting books, hosted a TIAS, received my T.A.T. masters, and taught in the online tatting class..... twice.
I am blessed to have tatting friends from all over the world who put up with my whiny arse.
I have stated many times how tatting is my lifesaver. I mean this literally.... something I have never shared before is that 3 years and 4 months ago I almost lost my life. After that incident it was hard to put my life back together and I was very lost...but God gave me tatting in a way that has changed my life; changed it in ways I never could have imagined. Tatting has challenged me, frustrated and thrilled me, brought me tears, joy, friends, and family. What an amazing journey!
I would have liked to have thrown a big party and invited you all to celebrate with me. But since I am low on energy, all I could come up with is this goofy poll! I invite you to join in on the fun!
Can I get a WHOO HOO?!?!?!?

500 is incredible!
(BTW - I'm so sorry about the kiln. I don't own a kiln, but I used to throw a LOT, and I have a pretty good idea of the pain. Ugh.)
I love all your posts. The more the merrier!
WHOO HOO!!! Congratulations! I love your blog just the way it is and I even love your rants.
Congratulations, Sherry!
In spite of all the many roadblocks you've encountered, you manage to stay creative and positive in your outlook, and you have shared SO MUCH of your considerable talent with all of us. Plus, your blog is VERY entertaining reading! You have a wonderful writing style!
Your generous giveaways, books, patterns, and unique ideas and products (shuttles, hook pens, threads) are awesome!
You have affected many people in so many positive ways, and if we could, we'd all come there and throw you a big party, with a giant WHOO HOO for your Third Blogaversary - and 500 Posts!!! It's an amazing achievement and kind of mind-boggling!!
P.S. Please feel free to rant - you have good reason to do so, and we don't mind at all!
Whoo Hoo for 500! Keep it up Sherry -- the blogging and your chin. :)
Woo hoo!!! Thank you, Sherry for 3 years of your blog. Vent if you have to, we're here for you. Whatever it takes to keep you your creative self! Congratulations on all your milestones. I knew you had achieved a lot, but I'd forgotten it had been in such a short time! Hope to see you and your "groupies" in Spokane.
I wanted to tick two things, I love what you write, but also I really enjoy your personal stories...I feel as though I know you, as if we might meet and just start talking as if we had been friends for ages. I like that, and the rants, well, that's what real friends do, let off steam, have a cry, then feel a bit better, I hope so, anyway.
Congratulatinons!
I learned a lot from you. Thank you very much.:)
Congratulations on both 3 years and 500 posts! :)
Woo Hoo - great achievement. 500 posts.

Happy 500! Wow-what an artist you are. Do you even realize your talent? Your inspiration? Ok, so I'm not an extrovert or a fabulous blogger. But I do enjoy your blog, your life moments, and your artistic inspiration. Hang in there and soar with the eagles doing what you do best!

Sherry, Congratulations! You deserve a party and more. You are a wonderful part of the tatting community and yours is the first blog I check when I get online. Rant? We all do at times and cannot fault you for being honest. You've added to my life and I'm sure you've added to a multitude of others as well. Keep on being you! Karen

Ditto all of the above.
Yours is the first and sometimes only blog I read. Yes I have problems but nothing compaired to yours so when you have a rant I think I just have to be grateful for my small mercies. I love your tatting and your ceramics please carry on the way you are and here is to the next 30 years.
Much love and hugs.

♥♥♥♥♥ Fox : ))
Lets have, Tales of happinnes laughter and giggles. Stories of Sherry and Hubby spending to much romantic time together. Blasts of colour from more HDT. More of your stories that keep us laughing till we go to bed.
Woot!!!
I've been thinking about this and you forgot to mention that you are the developer of a novel medium for tatting shuttles- the ceramic shuttle. You are also a trail blazer in offering HDT (along with Yarnplayer) in not only traditional tatting thread but also in a high quality silk. Lastly, you have brought together quite a few bloggers through the tatted ring of bloggers. No wonder you are tired.
