I am feeling slightly better today. My hands are "out of order" again...so I am inventing machines to help me do my winding work. My kiln blew up (o.k....not literally but it will cost hundreds to fix it..which means no pottery and no shuttles for awhile.)
Tomorrow is a VERY special day for my blog but I don't know if I can muster the energy to celebrate. I am taking life hour by hour so we shall see what tomorrow brings.

Hang tight - I do know about life being tough and sometimes it's a LOT of tough all together, but hang tight. God's there for you...
must... find... money...
sorry to hear your hubby is gone again- it just sucks!
The thread looks awesome! Hope you are able to find the money you need to get your kiln fixed. (((Hugs))) to you, tatting sister!!
I'm fresh out of sentimental gibberish, and easy sayings.
Being with out money ~ sucks!
Being without your man ~ well. And KNOWING that it is going to be repeated over and over ~ HARD.
I, too, married to be WITH my man and I HATED Cal Trans DOT in the winter when he was gone from the first snow to the last snow! He wasn't compensated near enough for what he did ~ and he almost died up there on Donner Summit twice (stupid drivers).
I empathize, and have been there! I use to put DH shirt on and bawl my eyes out! There is no consolation or easy answers. The only thing you can count on is that tomorrow will come.
You've always dug deep within yourself and have been a survivor! That will get you through. I say this from one survivor to another~ I am here for you, kiddo, don't forget that ~ no fair weather friends here.

Thank you everyone! I DO love my tatting family!!!!!
What can I say . . . ? I hope it will get better soon! I would love to cheer you up. How can I help?
Hugs,
Wendy
Just two months or so until I can give you a great big hug in real life to help! Shuttlebirds is coming soon and hopefully you will have so much fun that it will take the edge off all of what is going on.
I am really sorry things are so tough, it's a real bummer. I don't think I can say more than that, but I am sending positive and loving thoughts, big hug :(
Since I can't make it to Shuttlebirds to add mine to the hugfest, I pledge to find creative ways to cheer you up! Ciarán can help...
hope everything gets better for you! i don't personally know how it feels to have a DH in the military, but I do know what long absences feel like!
also, sorry to hear your hands are hurting again. it may not be much, but I've had this link saved for a few weeks now:
http://www.craftydiversions.com/patterns/homemade_yarn_swift.htm
it may be for yarn, but I'm sure it can be tweaked for winding your gorgeous threads!
