Passing the time

Well I am sure it is no surprise that I am back on bed rest. BOOOO!
Anyway I thought I would share a little of what I have been doing.

Diamond Doily in progress. Tatted in size 80 majestic tatting threads.

I fell in love with Jane Eborall's patchwork doily the very first time I saw it. It has been a project that has been in the back of my mind for some time. ...and now that I have a lot of time...there is no time like the present right? Jane has generously shared her diamond pattern as well as some templates to help you design your own pattern.

I am hoping that in the end....probably a year from now...it might look like this.

...and here is my latest belly photo for those who enjoy this sort of thing.

That pattern is fabulous and in size 80 thread? Wow! It will be spectacular.

Speaking of spectacular, your photograph is moving. Really outstanding.

Picadilly has one talented mama.

It looks so lacy in #80, and I like the colours you're using. Best wishes.

See how productive you can be when you are on bed rest? That is a great project to focus upon!
I love that pattern too; but, too chicken to try it ~
Need to finish my UFO's before December. I only have 3; that isn't to bad (for me lOL).

Love the picture, she's wearing flowers already!
Woo Hoo!

Each day, each week that she is growing safely is an accomplishment, I am sure it's frustrating at times, so well done you for getting this far!

I love the colors you've put together! Are they threads that you dyed? I'm sure it will be fabulous when finished. It's good to see Picadilly growing so well! Enjoy your bed rest now. I'm sure Picadilly will have you up and running around at all hours of the day and night in no time!

Cute tummy, Sherry -- love the flower. :)
Your diamond doily is going to be beautificent. Enforced bed rest equals leisure tatting time. (Of course, there can be too much of a good thing, eh?)
Keeping my toes crossed for you!
(Oooo not only that but my word verification is "joyerris" -- must mean happy bed rest!)

Hi Sherry!
I haven't checked blogs in ages, but just did so I could find out how you are doing. Hang in there. You'll make it.
Praying for you!
Kate H.
PS: Your tatting and threads are lovely as always! :)

Love it all!

As soon as I saw what you're working on I thought... a lacy blanket for Pica?

Then I read it was to be a doily...

You going to keep going and make an heirloom baby blanket? Huh, huh... are ya?

:-)

Your threads are beautiful. I'm not sure how I got to your site but what a coincidence, for me anyway. I live in Boise, I'm a recently retired L&D nurse (St Luke's) and a beginner tatter. Small world. Hang in there with the bedrest, at least you are at home..right? Your shuttles are lovely. Right now it's the needle for me, I can't seem to get my hands to work right with a shuttle. Maybe next. Good luck.

This is gorgeous (and so is the belly).

Your geometric design looks lovely. I look forward to seeing the completed project.
