I got to TAT today! Neener neener!

I am doing my happy dance...(perhaps a bit like Elaine's dance on Seinfeld).
Anyhow, it felt soooo good and I can't wait to tat some more. Sadly I cannot show what I tatted because it is a "test tat" for a friend's book. But I'll just say that it is pretty cool!
I am getting back in my groove! I woke up at 6:00am instead of 3:00am, so my body is finally starting to adjust to the drastic time change. No more naps during the day and I will try to stay up later than 8:00pm tonight. The bed that we are sleeping on is as hard as a rock, so I have been having trouble with my neck and shoulders. It looks like it's going to be another month before our household goods arrive. I won't be able to dye any new threads until the shipment arrives. I WILL try to get some tatting designs done though.
Since I cannot leave you without a picture, I will show you something I ate today!
It's my year of new experiences!

And it was GOOD!

Also on my walk yesterday we passed this gorgeous shade cover and it smelled soooo good! Which was a nice change to the pockets of stink we have been finding all over the place.
I would love to grow my own lilac shade cover one day!

And lastly, I have been unable to comment on many of my fellow tatter's blogs. It is a technical issue on my end. I hope it fixes itself soon because I have so many things to say about the great tatting and blogging going on.

What is that strange looking morsel? It looks like it's from the sea, which I'm sure I would love if I weren't allergic! I'm not very brave when it comes to trying new foods, so I will enjoy reading about your new experiences!

Is the shade cover lilac or wisteria? It's beautiful! I can almost smell it!

When we moved to the Chicago area in 1965, there was a trucking strike, so we lived in 3 different hotels until our belongings arrived. I don't remember how long it was, but I do remember that my favorite way to clean a house and paint walls is when it's empty!

Have fun with your new adventure! Can't wait to see the secret tatting!

I am glad you are settling in. I don't know what that is that you ate, but I'm glad you liked it. The lilac shade cover is gorgeous and I bet it smelled like heaven! We'll look forward to those new designs.

Did you have to close your eyes to eat that? LOL Those flowers are so beautiful! Are they crepe myrtle?

First of all, thank you for the icky pic of whatever you ate, I'm glad it tasted good because it looked DISGUSTING!!! Good for you for being brave and trying new things. I probably would try it, too if I had the chance just to say I did...LOL. But I really enjoyed the lovely shade of hanging flowers. Looks like you'll have a lot of unusual tatting inspirations over there, too. Glad your bodyclock is getting adjusted.

Hmmm... that piece that you ate looks very familiar. If what I think is correct, that is a fruit that is very common in Malaysia and the South East Asia region. In Malaysia it is called a 'rambutan' from the word 'rambut' which means hair because of the hairy appearance on the outside. It may be a put off to some but trust me and Sherry, that it is delicious. You have to give the fruit a twist with you hands to open up the skin and you'll get the juicy white flesh inside. Just be careful not to bite into the seed. BTW, you don't eat the hairy part, :-)

Glad to know that you are settling in nicely in Korea.

The lilac thing looks EXACTLY like wisteria. Grows lis of places down south.

Rambutan? I knew there would be some smarties out there to help me out! Thank you so much! And yes it is really yummy, I will be having more!

O.k. this probably is wisteria. Whatever it is, it's very lovely and fragrant.
