New batches of Tatting thread on the way.

Photobucket
This is "Rainforest". It is still wet in this photo. It's in the sunshine drying right now along with some other colors.
I've always thought that 6 cord Hakelgarn had a special sheen to it and many of my customers have remarked upon that shine.
But it pales in comparison to the shine of the 100% SILK thread. Just take a gander at the photo. Silk on the left, Hakelgarn on the right.
I am really tickled with the silk thread so far and am working on a couple of silky tatting projects.

Very pretty color, and I definitely see a difference in the sheen! Does the silk have a strong scent? It might be something in manufacturing, but I always can tell where the silk clothing is in a clothing store by its scent. Dave says I'm crazy... he can't smell it.

Oh yes, Diane, I know what you mean. Silk definitely has it's very own scent.
Gorgeous colours, Sherry, I'm sure Sue will be tickled pink - or should that be purple and lime? LOL
I bet the silk is lovely to work with!

You must have an amazing sense of smell Diane. I had to go sniff the threads after reading your comment and guess what? This silk does smell slightly different than the other thread. I never have noticed that.

Can someone direct me to a site with directions(visual) on using a shuttle? I am currently needle tatting & just bought a shuttle but can't figure it out. I am blonde you know....
