Friday's featured shuttles

Light House

Seascape

Mountain landscape
.

Wildflowers

I know I need to get more creative with naming these shuttles but I have exhausted my creativity for the day.

Again, these shuttles look even better in person; glossy things are always difficult to photograph.

All the new ART shuttles are listed and now it is time for a break.

I won't upload all the pictures of all the shuttles that are finished but you can view them HERE.
I am finished with this project and am going to move on to some non-tatting related things for awhile.
I think I burnt myself out on these tedious miniature paintings...my eyes have gone all buggy LOL!

Piccadilly is 3 months old and NEW art shuttles for you!

Can you believe it has been three months? I haven't killed or maimed Miss P yet so I just might be able to do this mom thing afterall!

We had a fun 3 month photo shoot today. Piccadilly is so patient and she actually seems to enjoy herself. The downside is that there are feathers EVERYWHERE now. I will probably be cleaning them up for months to come.

Blue dress, Mountain Meadow and Tulips

I found a few moments to list some more new art shuttles.
"Blue Dress"

"Mountain Meadow"

"Tulips"

Because of the high gloss finish, these are a superb pain in the "you know what" to photograph. I can assure you they are much prettier in person.

Tatting Hook Size Chart

New hook pens are being listed nearly everyday to the shop. I have included this picture to give you an idea the differences between the hook sizes. Size 9 (my largest) is perfect for sizes 10, & 20 thread all the way down to size 14(my smallest) which is great for sizes 80 & 100...and of course there is everything in between.

I am firing my kiln for the first time in FOREVER today, so if all goes well we will have tatting shuttles available next week.

Short lived

O.k. So I am having another "down" day today. I am exhausted and I have had a set back with the pain in my hands. I have been approved to see a neurologist and am just waiting for an opening. Anyhow, I expect there will be many more ups and downs but I feel so supported that I think I can handle it. You guys do know that you are my lifeline right???
...and to all my moms out there, I AM taking your advice. So many good suggestions were given to me and I know many of you have gone through this so I am listening.

This humongous speed bump in my life is driving me MAD I tell you! (Ooops did I type that out loud???)

O.k. O.k, no energy for silliness today.....

I managed to list a couple more Hook Pens. I tell you I have been using them myself and the are really great and so handy, why didn't I think of them before??? LOL!!!

I have been able to catch up a bit on blogs, some of you have gotten comments from me. To be honest, I think that is why my hands hurt so bad today. So many blogs, so little time.
Anyway, if I didn't leave you a comment that doesn't mean that I didn't visit your blog. You know I love you all!

HAPPY GUY FAWKES DAY!!!

Keeping on....

I ran out of hooks but that hasn't stopped me from decorating cases...here is a preview of what is to come.

Me being me, I absolutely HAVE to decorate each hook pen uniquely...can't keep them plain or make several of the same....just can't do it! These are a lot like my ceramic shuttles that way. See the "Pin up" girl, the Sunflower princess and a church landscape? I included a close up of the cherub? Each of these have neat little details and special touches.

Just like everything I do, these are made with the most top notch materials I can find. I do not cut corners, nor do I go the cheap route when it comes to my creations. These have stainless steel hooks and the pen casing is very strong.

...needless to say I am making very little profit on these...I am doing it mostly for fun.

These are currently listed in the shop, I will be listing a couple more this week. Since I am out of hooks it may be awhile before more are listed.

More LadyShuttleMaker Hook Pens on the way....

Hi friends,
I am overwhelmed that these bookmark hook pens are being received so well. I have sold out today but please don't worry I am working on more as you can see.
I cannot rush them because I have to make sure every single one is perfect. Of course just like my shuttles I test them before they go out.

For these new ones I dipped in to my special reserve of decals (some of which are vintage) and I am excited about how they are all turning out.

The hooks are quite small (as one would expect for tatting) the largest being size 10 (very small) and the smallest being size 13 (super tiny) with sizes 11 and 12 in between. I had to go out and search all over town for some hooks. Let me tell you, these are not easy to find. I cleaned the town out and will be working the next few days to offer what I can while I can.
I also have lots of fun ideas for decoration too...because of course each one HAS to be one of a kind!
Please keep checking the shop and the blog for updates.

Where all the shuttles are going. Part II

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I have been updating this map in a previous post, but since that post is buried among all the others I thought I would revisit it here.
I still have a long way to go to reach my goal of a shuttle in every state, but it is also nice to see my progress thus far. I also have shuttles in Canada, England, Wales, Australia and most recently Japan. YAY!

New Ceramic Shuttles

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I listed over a dozen new shuttles today. I will be listing more in the days to come. Between the shuttles and tatting my purse I have been a busy lass!
